#BLUD is a delightfully zany animated dungeon crawler that blurs the line between action RPGs and hyperkinetic 90s cartoons. Created by a team of 5 at Exit 73 Games and published by Humble Games, #BLUD was released simultaneously on Steam, Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch June 18th, 2024.
In my process of level design, I did first drafts of the dungeons on actual graph paper, then iterated while making the maps digital (using Dungeon Scrawl) before working with our level artist to build and beautify the space in Unity.
As designer, I then did enemy, pickup, and mission placement passes in each dungeon.
